Frostbite race 1 

Stood watching the first frostbite of the season showered in sunshine, 

Fuelled by cheering from those on the sideline. 

I realised I missed the camaraderie and support of the Werrington Joggers team, 

Just one big yellow family easily seen. 


The undoubted spirit of the wider running community, 

Provides a feeling and sense of unity. 

Inspiring you to get running and be part of the race, 

Absorbing the atmosphere in one big embrace. 


The endorphins I felt to be back running created a buzzing in my brain, 

Motivating me to improve and be back on the start line once again. 

For I can see why running is an addiction that draws people in, 

A sport that is about so much more than personal bests or taking the win.
